The remainder of our time out in St. Louis was spent with my sister and her husband. It looked a little something like this…
We packed a lot of fun in such a short amount of time.
And we packed our tummies full of some uppercase A-mazing food thanks to chef Scott. Really, he’s a chef. And really, he’s amazing. Gifted, indeed.

Over Memorial Day weekend we packed up and headed out west with St. Louis being our destination. Exactly one year had passed since we moved away and we couldn’t have asked for a more enjoyable way to celebrate. It was somewhat surreal at times driving through the places that not long ago we called home. And yes, for those who remember us not so fondly referring to the area as Misery instead of Missouri, we did finally get to the point we called it home. We have some amazing memories from the years we spent in that town…none of which I would want to forget. Okay, maybe the time I nearly froze my finger off. That one I could forget. Oh, on second thought, no. Though terribly dumb, it makes me laugh every time! But, back to the subject at hand.
Saturday was spent catching up with some dear friends. The last we all were together was January 2009.
Though we didn’t know it then, three of us were pregnant in this picture. That sounds misleading…two of us were clearly pregnant. People knew. The other…not so much. Come to think of it though, she did polish off dinner like a champ that night! Jackie, you can even tell her I said that. I think she’ll appreciate it 🙂
The day, which started with reunions and introductions, went by way too fast and ended way too soon but left me feeling way too blessed…beyond what I will ever deserve.
Thank you God for laughter and new life, fellowship and familiar friends.
Tune in next time for the rest of the trip!
